2. Installation Position
Installed at the rear main bearing seat (No.4 / last main journal) of the engine cylinder block, located between the crankshaft thrust flange and cylinder block bulkhead. It is fixed on the main bearing support, matching with the crankshaft thrust face.
3. Function
- Absorb and bear the axial thrust generated during engine operation.
- Limit the axial end play / longitudinal movement of the crankshaft, keep the crankshaft in correct axial position.
- Reduce friction and wear between crankshaft and cylinder block.
- Maintain normal engine timing and the matching clearance of transmission components by controlling crankshaft axial displacement.
